Many Journeys
In her youth she [Nerdanel] loved to travel far from the dwellings of the Noldor, either beside the Sea or in the hills; and thus she and Fëanor had met and were companions in many journeys.
(J.R.R. Tolkien, Morgoth's Ring)

My beit din and mikvah for conversion are tomorrow afternoon. I'm not overly worried about them. (Mainly, I feel like I've forgotten everything I ever learned about Judaism, so I'm rereading a couple of books.)

It's the speech I have to give at services on Saturday morning I'm trying not to panic about. It's written and I just need to do a couple of edits. But it's the actual speaking part that concerns me. I am not and never have been comfortable with public speaking. I'm half-convinced I'm going to stare at the paper and mumble my way through it, which is not a good outcome.

Does anyone have any advice on how do it properly or help with nerves or something?

Okay, it's a duology and I'm not crossposting the fics entirely. I plan on doing that eventually on DW-- and I'll backdate them-- but it's just easier right now to link to the series.

Reckless is my MCU AU fic and its sequel. Teen-rated Clint/Natasha/Loki in a canon divergent AU where Loki fell to Earth. 4700 words total.

“You Met Me in the Fire,” the first story, was written for Wnnbdarklord. Summary: Natasha and Clint find an injured wolf at the beginning of a mission. Things take a slight turn for the odd.

“You Fanned the Flames Up Higher” is five conversations Loki has during the three-month gap in “You Met Me in the Fire” and one he has after.
